Women Who Bring Equality in Sight- Brittney Exline

Colorado native Brittney Exline became the youngest African-American woman to be accepted an Ivy League college when she was offered admission in 2007 to the University of Pennsylvania. She is also the youngest African-American in the country to become an engineer. Today, 20-year-old Exline, is working for Chikita, an online advertising in Massachusetts. She can speak six languages– Spanish, French, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, and German. During a recent interview with the Washington Post’s “The Root,” Exline said that is trying to encourage more young African-Americans to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Vision 2020 recognizes Exline for working to advance shared and for making history as a woman in the STEM field.
